Overview

Support movement operations activities, including coordination, scheduling, and booking of travel for individuals, and processing of travel documentation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the coordination, scheduling and booking of travel for individuals.
  • Support the organization and timely completion of all bookings.
  • Assist in the dissemination of travel information.
  • Assist in compiling and analysing descriptive statistics.
  • Support the preparation of travel loan documentation.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of movement data files.
  • Support the identification and assignment of escorts for vulnerable individuals.
  • Assist in processing exit permissions and travel documentation.
  • Support identity and document verification processes.
  • Assist in delivering pre-departure counselling.
  • Provide regular updates on tasks and progress to the supervisor.
  • Support duty travel arrangements and participate in meetings, trainings and other programme activities.
  • Undertake duty travel as required.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of applicable SOPs, systems and databases, and IOM Standards of Conduct.
  • Support the implementation of RMM Protection Mainstreaming Minimum Standards.
  • Escalate any observed non-compliance to the supervisor or management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • School diploma with three years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with one years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • School diploma
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution
