Overview
The Administrative and Finance Associate will be responsible for delivering administrative, financial, and logistical services for a joint EU-funded project in Uzbekistan, supporting project planning, financial transactions, procurement, and partner coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Maintain financial records and process transactions.
- Prepare payment requests and vouchers.
- Monitor budget utilization and reconcile expenditures.
- Support donor financial reporting and audit facilitation.
- Monitor partner financial reporting.
- Follow up on outstanding payments.
- Organize travel arrangements and payments.
- Provide logistical support for meetings and workshops.
- Draft correspondence and meeting minutes.
- Maintain project filing system.
- Support procurement and contracting processes.
- Liaise with implementing partners and vendors.
- Monitor activity implementation status.
- Support report and presentation compilation.
- Support monitoring visits and data collection.
- Ensure compliance with operational rules and donor regulations.
- Support audit processes.
- Undertake other assigned administrative or financial tasks.
Required Experience
- Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in operations/administrative functions, programme support.
- At least 2 years in finance, accounting.
- Proven experience in managing and implementing financial policies, processes and systems.
- Experience in using ERP system (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP) or similar computerized applications.
- Working experience with UN organization or other international development organizations is desirable.
Qualifications
- Completed Secondary Education is required.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.
