Overview
Supports the development and implementation of communication and media activities by producing high-quality content, managing editorial processes, and ensuring consistent messaging across platforms. Contributes to strengthening the visibility, credibility, and accessibility of programme approaches, results, and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and produce written communication materials.
- Write and edit articles, feature stories, programme updates, and photo stories.
- Ensure editorial quality across communication materials.
- Translate technical programme information into accessible content.
- Manage and update website content.
- Coordinate publication of articles, stories, and updates.
- Support the production of monthly newsletters.
- Maintain an organized archive of communication products.
- Identify stories of change from the field.
- Support documentation of programme learning and innovations.
- Develop photo stories, case studies, and feature articles.
- Prepare written materials for media engagement.
- Provide editorial support for campaign and media outreach materials.
- Ensure editorial outputs align with strategic communication objectives.
- Adapt written content for social media and digital dissemination.
- Gather information, data, and stories from programme activities.
- Maintain documentation of communication outputs.
- Support monitoring of communication performance.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen storytelling and communication approaches.
- Ensure all communication materials comply with safeguarding standards and ethical principles.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the Manager.
Required Experience
- At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in communication, journalism, or content development.
- Demonstrated experience in writing, editing, and producing high-quality content for websites, publications, or digital platforms.
- Strong storytelling skills.
- Experience producing communication materials such as articles, newsletters, reports, or feature stories.
- Familiarity with education, social development, or NGO programmes is an advantage.
- Experience working with content management systems (CMS) or digital publishing platforms is preferred.
- Basic photography or video documentation skills are an advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, media studies, social sciences, education, or a related field.
