Overview
The Supply Chain Officer is responsible for the coordination and support of all program-related supply chain activities for Save the Children Lao PDR Country Office and Field Offices, ensuring effective and efficient supply-chain policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Support all supply chain aspects of procurements, asset, transportation and fleet managements.
- Support supply chain in emergency preparedness and humanitarian relief, including fast-track warehousing and stock management.
- Organize all procurement processes, including receiving requisitions, working with requesters, and managing the procurement committee.
- Coordinate with CO supply chain lead to review/update sourcing pipe and conduct sourcing for formal quotation and Framework Agreement.
- Support CO and FO fleet management, including data validation and ensuring proper record-keeping of vehicles.
- Support CO asset management to maintain asset and inventory registers.
- Maintain effective and efficient use of SCI storages and coordinate distribution plans.
- Implement emergency response policies & procedures and support market surveys for emergency supplies.
- Support supply chain team in updating related supply chain records, trackers and preparations for reports.
Required Experience
- Minimum two years of experience in supply chain management including procurement, transportation and distribution, warehouse management, and stock management.
- Two years of experience working with international NGOs, international business company or similar.
- Experience working with local commodities transporters, including the negotiating of competitive transportation rates.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in administrative management or related discipline.
- Certificates related to Logistics, Supply Chain are a plus.
