Overview

Support the implementation of Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) project activities at the field level, including community mobilization, training delivery, and data collection.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support timely implementation of Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) project activities including agriculture, livestock and income generating interventions at the field level.
  • Conduct community mobilization, sensitization and engage with beneficiaries and local stakeholders.
  • Support the organization and delivery of training (e.g., agriculture, livestock, income-generating activities).
  • Assist in needs assessments, , and baseline/endline data collections.
  • Conduct beneficiary registration, verification, selection and follow up.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to supervisors.
  • Assist in the distribution of project inputs (cash, seeds, tools, etc.) ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Ensure beneficiaries understand selection criteria, project activities, and entitlements.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other sectors (e.g., Value Chain, Construction) to ensure integrated programming.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records of field activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
  • Monitor canal cleaning activities and be responsible for workers’ attendance management.
  • Record construction materials and share timely reports with the line supervisor.
  • Conduct Kobo surveys and monitor the implementation of Cash for Work (CFW) projects
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in Food Security, Livelihood, agriculture or CFW programming
  • Strong expertise in livelihood programming
  • Maturity and confidence in dealing with the staff of government institutions, and communities.
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) in English and local languages, people skill for conflict resolution and negotiation.
Qualifications
  • Education: bachelor’s degree in agriculture, or a related field
  • A Diploma with relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Basic knowledge of agriculture, livestock, and livelihood practices
  • Understanding of food security concepts and community-based projects
  • Experience in data collection and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills
  • Ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders
  • Computer Skills(proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic data management skills
