Overview
Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation, monitors status of proposals, and compiles, summarizes, and presents programme/project data.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation.
- Monitors status of programme/project proposals and receipt of relevant documentation.
- Compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific programmes/project.
- Reviews project documents, especially cost plans/budgets, for completeness and compliance.
- Serves as focal point for administrative coordination of programme/project implementation activities.
- Compiles, summarizes and enters data on project delivery.
- Drafts correspondence on budget-related issues and prepares and updates periodic reports.
- Provides general office assistance and responds to information requests.
- Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff.
- Assists with the collection and analysis of data and preparation of data presentations and reports.
- Assists with visualizations and updating information material.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
At least five (5) years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation or related area is required. Two (2) years of such experience with the United Nations common system or a similar international organisation is desirable. Experience with ERP applications such as UMOJA or similar is desirable. Experience with project administration is desirable. Experience with recruitment or talent management platforms such Inspira, is desirable.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
