Overview
Facilitate field level interventions to mobilize communities for communal scheme development and enhance capacity of farmer groups or associations. The role involves community meetings, needs assessments, and supporting the formation and strengthening of farmer groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the organization of consultative community meetings on project interventions.
- Identify potential project target villages and existing Farmers, Farmer Groups or Associations.
- Sensitize communities about project activities and outcomes.
- Conduct Project Rapid Assessment (PRA) exercise for needs and prioritization.
- Assist in forming new Farmer Groups and strengthening their operations.
- Ensure registration of members and data entry.
- Coordinate with NGOs and TWG in documenting activities.
- Oversee community mobilization in scheme development.
- Handle beneficiaries/stakeholders’ complaints and disputes.
- Submit biweekly and monthly reports.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in agriculture or livestock related community mobilization, dispute resolution, organizing community trainings and awareness activities.
- Working experience with UN and/or international organizations will be an asset.
Qualifications
• University Degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences or any equivalent education background
