Overview
The Chief Partnerships, Advocacy and Communication is accountable for developing, managing, coordinating, networking, implementing and monitoring communication, advocacy and partnership strategies to promote awareness, understanding, support and respect for children’s and women’s rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, coordinate, network, implement and monitor communication, advocacy and partnership strategies.
- Promote awareness, understanding, support and respect for children’s and women’s rights.
- Support UNICEF's mission, priorities and programmes.
- Advise on the articulation of policies and strategies, with an emphasis on gender equality and equity.
- Manage human and financial resources for the communication section.
- Establish communication baselines and evaluate strategy objectives.
- Provide expert advice on external relations communication.
- Identify and address opportunities for development among the country communication team and other colleagues.
- Identify and address opportunities to build communication capacity among media and other relevant partners.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in Communication, Fund Raising, Partnerships, Print, Broadcast, New Media and any other related fields.
- Experience with Strategic Communications, Digital Communications, Media Communications, Fundraising Development, Partnership Development.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations/Communication, External relations, public affairs, corporate communications. and any other related fields.
