Overview

The role supports technical-operational processes for emergency response, early recovery, and livelihood projects within the area of influence of the area office. The position aims to coordinate programmatically and operationally on program and project-related matters.


Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany capacity building processes for WFP staff, cooperating partners, government entities, and participating communities.
  • Monitor the budget execution of assigned projects, verifying the appropriate and timely use of allocated resources, and generating early alerts for potential delays.
  • Track the management of information shared by cooperating partners regarding beneficiaries, transferred resources, and product indicator reporting on WFP platforms, ensuring its update, quality, and traceability, in coordination with field offices.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and/or support the preparation of technical and narrative reports required by WFP or donors, and contribute inputs for internal reports, lessons learned, and good practices.
  • Monitor timely response to monitoring findings and requests received through community feedback mechanisms.
  • Support the implementation of affirmative actions in programs and projects that promote equitable access for women and men to decision-making spaces and food markets, with the participation of communities, associations, public procurement programs, local governments, and other civil society actors.
  • Coordinate the plan for field visits and technical missions, ensuring articulation with partners, communities, and other relevant actors.
  • Support other tasks related to the program area as required by supervision, contributing to the achievement of WFP's strategic objectives.
Required Experience
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in humanitarian response, migration, and/or rural development or food and nutrition security projects.
  • Experience in field operations, preferably in complex contexts, humanitarian assistance, or emergency situations with an emphasis on migrant populations, ethnic groups, victim populations, and work in contexts of Gender-Based Violence.
  • Knowledge of information technologies and Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint) and database packages.
Qualifications
  • Completion of secondary education cycle.
  • Desirable: Professional in social sciences, law, international relations, business administration, economics, or related fields to the activities related to the position.

Contract Duration
6 months with possibility of extension subject to performance and funds.
