Overview
The Capacity Building Officer is responsible for supporting the development of training curricula and materials, identifying training needs, defining training goals, and delivering training sessions in Mine Action Information Management to National Mine Action Authority personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs assessments.
- Planning and scheduling of capacity building activities.
- Development of training and session plans, goals and objectives.
- Design and develop capacity building curriculum, syllabus, and learning materials.
- Organise and deliver/co-facilitate core and advanced training and capacity-building sessions.
- Research, identify and develop appropriate training packages on emerging tools and innovative technologies.
- Develop or identify training content and/or supporting reference resources.
- Conduct pre-training, in-training and post-training evaluations.
- Support administration of iMMAP Inc. online training platform.
- Liaise with other iMMAP Inc. capacity building programmes.
- Train and provide technical support to identified staff on Mine Action tools and processes.
- Provide mentorship and support.
- Draft humanitarian capacity building success stories.
Required Experience
A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in training or Mine Action/IM, such as working with databases, mapping, visualization and design.
Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in the fields of education, mine action, information management; computer engineering, or related field.
