Overview
The incumbent will be the program’s primary contact for logistics operations, monitoring national pipelines for products and providing technical assistance in-country logistics and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate and assist in forecasting, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating supply chain operations.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding order status and stock levels.
- Support data collection, entry, analysis, and reporting for medical, food, and other NFI products.
- Collaborate to manage in-country logistics and assist with scheduling distributions.
- Provide periodic support supervision of logistics teams.
- Process documentation for logistics operations and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure transport of supplies complies with local government regulations.
- Assist with customs-clearance procedures.
- Ensure adherence to Good Distribution Practice.
- Check conformity upon receipt of goods and during dispatch.
- Monitor supplies and plan for timely distribution before expiry.
- Provide technical support for warehousing and inventory management.
- Ensure accounting, reporting, and internal control systems are accurate.
- Monitor product inventory to track trends and ensure proper distribution.
- Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and report.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouses for safety and compliance.
- Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Oversee stores and warehouse management and build capacity of field staff.
- Manage BPS screening for vendors and perform MDM functions.
- Oversee the logistics team to achieve store KPIs.
- Provide logistics support in alignment with the Supply Chain Manual.
- Liaise with the Supply Chain team on international shipments and arrange for final destination.
- Track all international shipments and update weekly.
- Work with Administration Officer and MOF to obtain tax exemption letters.
- Work with Clearing agent to ensure goods are cleared from port on time.
- File all completed documentation for audit requirements.
Required Experience
- At least three years of relevant work experience in public health supply chain
- Experience in quantification, procurement, warehousing, distribution, and general commodities management
Qualifications
Degree in the following fields: Health Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or social sciences.
