Overview
Support the design, development, and operationalization of Bhutan's Climate MRV system, ensuring alignment with UNFCCC reporting requirements and national priorities. The role focuses on enhancing the system's usability, communication impact, and knowledge management framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical inputs for the design, development, and implementation of the MRV system (GHG inventory, NDC tracking, climate finance).
- Support the finalization of the Business Requirement Document and GHG Sectoral Templates.
- Create a brand identity and visual standards for the MRV system and related communication outputs.
- Ensure the MRV system is intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible to various user roles.
- Prepare the user manual for MRV system operation.
- Provide UI/UX design inputs and develop prototypes for dashboards, reporting templates, CMS, and public website.
- Integrate climate information into public platforms and ensure interoperability with existing government ICT systems.
- Contribute to institutional frameworks and partnerships for MRV operation and organize training.
- Support the design of knowledge management products and contribute to the production of climate knowledge products.
- Provide support on sustainability measures and scaling models for the MRV system.
- Perform other tasks relevant to strengthening MRV system development and implementation.
- Provide technical assistance on digital engagement strategies.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in graphic design and product design.
- Work experience in more than one location or area of work.
- Extent and relevance of experience in MRV System Design & Architecture (data flows, institutional arrangements, QA/QC frameworks).
- Extent and relevance of experience in emissions Data Collection & Management (sectoral data systems: AFOLU, Energy, Waste, IPPU).
- Strong application of Design Thinking methodology.
- Experience in user journey mapping and information architecture.
- Rapid prototyping and iteration based on stakeholder feedback.
- Familiarity with designing infographics, icons, and visual systems for technical content.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science or other relevant IT Courses.
- Certification in UIUX, Design Thinking or equivalent.
