Overview
Coordinate the implementation of the project “Strengthened Capacity Building for Artisanal Fishery Value Chain Actors in the Blue Economy Sector” and support the development and implementation of fisheries, aquaculture, and blue economy actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure day-to-day management, coordination, and implementation of the project.
- Oversee operational and technical aspects of the project.
- Coordinate with FAO fisheries and aquaculture consultants.
- Facilitate liaison with MINPERMAR departments and national institutions.
- Support the FAO Representation in preparing, reviewing, and editing project documents.
- Collect, compile, and share relevant data and information.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate the implementation of project activities.
- Facilitate the organization of capacity-building activities.
- Coordinate and follow up on the work of project consultants, service providers, and staff.
- Assist in the preparation and management of Letters of Agreement (LoAs) and other partnership instruments.
- Support the preparation of annual work plans, budgets, and quarterly progress reports.
- Ensure visibility and communication of project achievements.
Required Experience
- At least seven (7) years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, fisheries management, or capacity development in the blue economy or related sectors.
- Solid background in fisheries natural resources and environment in Angola.
- Proven experience in working with government institutions, development partners, fisheries communities, and/or international organizations.
- Previous working experience with UN programmes/projects (familiarity with UN procedures) will be considered an advantage.
Qualifications
• Advanced university degree in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Marine Resources Management, Natural Resources Management, or a related field
