Overview

The Monitor/a role is essential for the implementation of the M&E Action Plan at the field office level. The purpose is to collect data related to program implementation and WFP results to inform operational decision-making and strategic reorientation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Apply corporate standards in all field monitoring work.
  • Monitor program implementation and results, providing key information for necessary adjustments.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with beneficiary communities, cooperating partners, and subcontracted monitoring partners.
  • Incorporate gender, equity, disability, protection, human rights, and other inclusion aspects into M&E work.
  • Ensure WFP monitoring activities are implemented according to field-level agreements and corporate standards.
  • Collect monitoring data on processes, outputs, and outcomes, including distribution monitoring, activity implementation monitoring, post-distribution monitoring, and shop/financial service provider monitoring.
  • Adopt and use qualitative monitoring methodologies (e.g., key informant interviews and focus groups).
  • Support the implementation of remote monitoring methods.
  • Implement CFM activities at the field office level related to monitoring.
  • Follow ethical guidelines during monitoring activities.
  • Submit collected information to the centralized database.
  • Use the escalation system to report identified monitoring issues.
  • Participate in regular meetings between M&E and Programs at the field level.
  • Provide information to beneficiaries on actions taken based on field monitoring and CFM findings.
Required Experience
  • Four (4) years minimum experience in formulation, implementation, or monitoring of humanitarian aid or development programs.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in monitoring.
  • Experience in analyzing data on program outputs and effects.
  • Experience in using web-based information systems and real-time data collection applications.
Qualifications
  • Completion of secondary education cycle.
  • Desirable: Professional degree in economic, nutrition, agriculture, social, or related areas.
