Overview
The Project Consultant - Health Mediator/Educator will provide technical and operational support to the implementation of the "Your Health is in Your Hands" project, focusing on health promotion and access to healthcare services for Third Country Nationals in Slovakia.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of information materials and content for seminars.
- Deliver offline and online informational seminars on healthcare access, oncological prevention, women’s reproductive health, nutrition, and lifestyle.
- Provide information and referrals to health and social service providers.
- Support beneficiaries in navigating healthcare pathways and understanding their rights.
- Offer individual counselling on health or social needs.
- Maintain accurate records, referrals, and follow-up actions.
- Contribute to monitoring, documentation, and reporting.
- Coordinate with IOM staff, interpreters, service providers, and relevant stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Experience in health promotion and outreach, workshops, community engagement activities, ideally with migrant population or other vulnerable populations.
- Interest in migrant protection and inclusion.
- Understanding of vulnerability/protection principles and ability to support healthcare system navigation, including local health entitlements, referral pathways, and basic public-health literacy.
Qualifications
Preferably a degree from an accredited institution in Social Sciences, Human Health, Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
