Overview

Develop and deliver training materials and sessions on combating trafficking in persons, and review and finalize related protocols and studies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and delivery of virtual training workshops on various aspects of combating trafficking in persons, including sexual exploitation, victim identification, vulnerable groups, exploitative begging, media roles, legal frameworks, and airport guidelines.
  • Review and finalization of self-learning programs, protocols on school-based reporting, and studies on agreements with labour-sending countries.
  • Preparation and delivery of virtual training workshops on the concept of trafficking in persons, coordination mechanisms, integration among national bodies, and application of screening indicators.
Required Experience
  • At least ten (10) years of professional experience in crime prevention, law enforcement, prosecution, criminal justice, international relations, international criminal law and/or related areas, is required.
  • Practical experience in conducting legal assessments and research in the area of trafficking in person and in the delivery of relevant training is required.
  • Knowledge of the legal framework concerning TiP, particularly the UNTOC and UN TiP Protocol, Islamic law, in addition to familiarity with the Arab regional anti-human trafficking instrument, is desirable.
  • Working experience in the GCC and/or MENA regions is desirable.
  • Previous work experience with the United Nations is desirable.
Qualifications

• An Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of law, criminology or other related social sciences is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields, in combination with additional two (2) years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
