Overview

Provides information and processes pension entitlements and benefits for participants, retirees, and beneficiaries. Ensures servicing in accordance with the Fund's Regulations, Rules, and Pension Adjustment System.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Provides information on participation, entitlements, and benefits to individuals and administrative staff.
  • - Routes requests to appropriate parties within the Fund's secretariat.
  • - Undertakes research to provide accurate information and ensures responses conform to rules and regulations.
  • - Processes all types of retirement benefits within established benchmarks.
  • - Initiates administrative procedures or calculates benefits related to changes in country of residence.
  • - Advises relevant units on the status of retirees and beneficiaries.
  • - Initiates termination of benefits.
  • - Prepares manual benefit calculations and recommendations for complex cases.
  • - Audits all types of pension benefits, administrative actions, and procedures.
  • - Audits/prepares estimates of future benefit options and all types of pension benefits.
  • - Participates in the standardization of procedures and texts for communications.
  • - Participates in training activities and projects related to the Section's work.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in employee benefits administration or related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in the United Nations common system is desirable.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in ERP system - IPAS is desirable.
  • Experience in an employee benefit scheme related to pension administration is desirable.
  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing and presenting data using MS Excel and MS Office are desirable.
  • One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.

English and French are required. UN Level II for Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking in both English and French.
