Overview

Support the coordination and implementation of activities related to UNESCO's Culture and Science programmes, with a focus on culture's contribution to youth advancement in peace and reconciliation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and manage implementation of UNESCO peace building and youth related activities and projects.
  • Ensure timely, efficient and effective management of the project and implementation of planned activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication and ensure the visibility of project/activity results and impact.
  • Prepare public information products such as news items, social media posts, infographics, audiovisual and other outreach materials.
  • Draft correspondence, prepare presentations, speeches, web releases, and other outreach and communication materials.
  • Speak and/or actively participate in national and international conferences, workshops or other events related to the project.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in international cultural cooperation, including experience on multi-partner project implementation and/or management.
  • Good knowledge of the culture sector and cultural cooperation scenarios in South-East Europe, and especially Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • Demonstrated experience in project development and management in an international environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing communication strategies, tools and content in relevant contexts.
  • Familiarity with UNESCO’s mandate, programme (with special focus on culture) and operational processes.
Qualifications

• Advanced University degree (Masters, or equivalent, or higher) in cultural studies, media studies, management, international relations, communication, or in related fields of social and human sciences or, University degree (BA), combined with minimum of 4 years of experience relevant to the position.
