Overview
The Food Security & Resilience Assistant will provide operational, field, and administrative support to the implementation of food security and resilience projects. The role focuses on data management, beneficiary information systems, and documentation for programme activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain beneficiary information systems and databases.
- Use and adapt survey tools and data collection forms.
- Conduct data quality checks and validate incoming data.
- Produce periodic data summaries and beneficiary tracking reports.
- Undertake field visits for data collection and beneficiary verification.
- Conduct and enter data from monitoring tools and surveys.
- Assist in the planning and logistical organization of field activities.
- Support documentation and record keeping for grants and asset transfer programmes.
- Assist in the organization and monitoring of food assistance distributions.
- Liaise with implementing partners and community representatives.
- Maintain organised filing systems for programme documentation.
- Support the preparation of internal coordination meetings.
- Support procurement and logistics processes.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
Required Experience
- 4 years of relevant experience in project implementation support, data management or field operations in the development or humanitarian sector.
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital data collection and management platforms.
- Experience supporting field data collection activities.
- Good understanding of food security and livelihoods programming approaches.
- Ability to produce clear and accurate data summaries.
- Strong organizational and logistical skills.
- Experience supporting food security, livelihoods or cash and voucher assistance (CVA) programmes is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with FAO, UN agencies or NGOs is an asset.
- Knowledge of Lebanon’s rural areas, agricultural communities and local governance structures is desirable.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
