Overview
The consultant will promote, strengthen, and organize data and monitoring efforts across UNICEF Boa Vista Field Office programme areas. The role ensures situation monitoring and data gathering are properly undertaken to monitor the situation of Venezuelan children on the move and UNICEF’s development interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather primary and secondary data on the scale, scope, and coverage of the State of Roraima related to the needs of the Boa Vista Field Office.
- Gather data on the scale, scope, and coverage of emergency responses in Roraima.
- Monitor the situation and conduct data analysis on UNICEF interventions and the situation of children in Roraima.
- Support planning and reporting processes by providing up-to-date information and comprehensive figures.
- Support the design of assessments or other evidence-based products.
- Support and optimize the gathering of data from interagency monitoring.
- Support the development and/or adaptation of Information Management (IM) tools and activities.
Required Experience
- A minimum of two years of professional experience with IT literacy, data and monitoring field of work.
- Previous experience with humanitarian settings, disaster preparedness or emergency contexts is required.
- Previous experience with data analysis and data visualization platforms is required.
- Relevant experience in programme development in human rights in a UN system agency or humanitarian organization is considered an asset.
Qualifications
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Social Sciences, Anthropology, Sociology or another relevant field.
