Overview
The Communication Assistant will support the daily operation of social media platforms, website, publications and other communication initiatives to enhance the visibility of UNESCO’s mandate and the impact of projects in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with designing, drafting, and proofreading public outreach materials and news items for the UNESCO website and social media platforms.
- Assist with proofreading project documents and reports, as well as coordinating and implementing projects and activities.
- Assist in coordinating the organization of seminars, workshops, and events.
- Assist with administrative tasks.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated interest and/or 3 years of experience in communication and information-related fields.
- Prior experience in managing social media platforms and developing communication strategies, along with strong communication, writing, and editing skills, is required.
- Good knowledge of online marketing tools and channels, as well as experience with data analysis, is highly desired.
- Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture (i.e., studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Communications, marketing, digital management or related fields.
