Overview

Provide technical assistance to the WHO Country Office on Warehouse management, including inventory recording and tracking.


Key Responsibilities
  • Up-to-date warehouse inventory records in BMS system for all three warehouses.
  • Stock count exercise conducted for all three warehouses with zero discrepancies.
  • Implement QR coding of items in the warehouse.
  • Conduct a pilot of the tracking tool.
  • Produce a report with lessons learned and recommendations on the pilot.
  • Promote tracking tool to MoH and/or INHP and conduct a training to WCO and MoH/INHP staffs.
  • Localized warehouse management SOPs in Somalia.
Required Experience

At least five years’ related experience, at the national and international levels, in managing emergency logistics and supply chain including warehousing operations in international organizations/institutions, part of which in the field supporting emergency humanitarian operations.

Qualifications

University degree in public or business administration, logistics management, engineering, or related fields from an accredited/recognized institute. Desirable: Professional certification/qualification in areas such as transport, distribution, and supply chain management. Degree or training in information management systems and their application to logistic, transport or supply management and monitoring.

On-site: Mogadishu, Somalia, with travel within the country as required by the assignment for field work when needed.
Remuneration
While on mission under the terms of this consultancy, the Consultant will receive a subsistence allowance.
