Overview
The Individual Contractor will be responsible for the production of eight (8) customized artisanal puppets for a children's theatre performance, ensuring they are age-appropriate, culturally sensitive, durable, safe, functional, and lightweight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an Inception Note and Workplan.
- Create a Design Adaptation Package with updated concept sketches and technical specifications.
- Produce eight (8) fully customized artisanal puppets.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance of all delivered puppets.
- Prepare a User Guidance Note for handling, storage, and maintenance.
Required Experience
- At least ten (10) years of work experience in puppetry, artisanal production, theatre props, or related creative fields.
- Demonstrated experience in the design and production of puppets or similar artistic materials, preferably for theatre, educational, or awareness-raising purposes.
- Proven experience in adapting or localizing creative content to different cultural contexts is highly desirable.
- Experience working on projects targeting children or youth audiences, ensuring age-appropriate and engaging content, is desirable.
- Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or public sector entities is desirable.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
