Overview
Provide technical assistance to strengthen the quality of ECD services and support advocacy for replication and expansion of quality ECD services in Papua provinces.
Key Responsibilities
- Update ECD in-service teacher training module to integrate nutrition education and disability inclusion components.
- Develop an in-service teacher training module on the utilization of ECD kits, using local dialect as language of instruction.
- Coordinate and facilitate in-service teacher training on quality ECD, nutrition education and utilization of ECD kits.
- Provide regular mentoring and monitoring with district trainers on quality ECD, nutrition education and disability inclusion.
- Contextualize ECD curriculum with trained provincial and district trainers.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of parenting sessions of the ECD programme.
- Conduct advocacy to local government for the preparation of an updated 3-year replication and scale-up plan.
- Provide a report on overall ECD programme implementation in Biak Numfor District.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in early childhood development, social development planning and management in education is required.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in related areas at the international and/or in a developing country is considered an asset.
- Experience in UNICEF’s children rights, women and girls’ empowerment, gender, disability and social inclusion’s concept in ECD centres is an advantage.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in education, psychology, sociology, or other social science fields are required.
