Overview
The WASH Officer will support UNICEF RCO as part of the Country Programme 2025-2029. The role provides technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for WASH programmes/projects from development planning to delivery of WASH output results.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares, manages and implements a variety of technical and administrative tasks, related to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the WASH output results of the country programme.
- Programme development and planning
- Programme management, monitoring and delivery of results
- Technical and operational support for programme implementation
- Humanitarian WASH preparedness and response
- Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
Required Experience
- 2 years of relevant work experience in WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Public health, humanitarian response and any other related fields.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
• An advanced university degree in Public Health, Social Services, sanitary engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering, behavior change communication, sanitary engineering or another relevant technical field.
