Overview

The Health Specialist (Data Management – Polio) will contribute to strengthening the polio outbreak response in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with a focus on data quality, equity analysis, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and support in the collection, management, analysis and use of polio and vaccination data.
  • Support the scale-up of digital payments for polio campaign community workers through the HOPE platform.
  • Contribute to monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities of the Health Section.
Required Experience
  • At least [5] years of relevant work experience in data management, monitoring and evaluation and public health and/or Immunization.
  • Relevant experience in a UN system agency or international organizations is considered as an asset.
  • Experience with digital payment systems (HOPE or similar platforms).
  • Proven experience in data analysis, visualization, and use of digital tools.
  • Experience working with government and development partners in complex environments.
Qualifications

An advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Monitoring-Evaluation, Health Information Systems Statistics, Economics and/or Social Science.

Fluency in French is required. Proficiency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of a local language (Swahili, Lingala. Etc) is an asset.
