Overview

The Client Engagement Assistant supports the identification, development, and cultivation of partnerships with UN Agencies/Host Entities at the country level. The role involves managing relationships with priority partners, gathering and sharing data, ensuring client satisfaction, and bridging volunteer management services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support in the management of key accounts of assigned partnerships.
  • Support and maintain relationships with assigned UN partner/s.
  • Support in the identification of volunteer placement opportunities.
  • Support in the preparation of descriptions of assignment.
  • Support in the development of offers and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the organization of advocacy campaigns, key events and other external communication efforts.
  • Ensure knowledge is documented, systematized and fed back into volunteer mobilization.
  • Act as a focal point for online volunteers and accreditation of OV service organizations.
  • Support partnerships development by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Support in the engagement with potential partners by preparing presentations.
  • Support the identification of opportunities for communicating on positive volunteer stories.
  • Contribute to the development of key messages, talking points, and reports.
  • Provide support during the onboarding process for volunteers.
  • Provide support to UN Volunteers throughout the volunteer management cycle.
  • Support volunteer engagement by responding to inquiries, sharing updates, and escalating concerns.
  • Assist in gathering feedback from volunteers.
  • Support the organization of appreciation initiatives and local events.
  • Support the Country Coordinator in ensuring volunteers' satisfaction.
  • Perform functions in the Volunteer Management Cycle.
  • Backstop other functions in the Field Unit/at country level.
  • Liaise with security focal points or heads of office.
  • Provide support to UN Volunteers undergoing medical evacuation.
  • Provide tailored support to UN Volunteers who do not speak the UN official language.
  • Provide host entities with comprehensive information on enabling instruments.
Required Experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience at national or international level in partnership engagement, advocacy, client service, volunteer coordination, community engagement, or programme support.
  • Previous experience with international or development organizations is considered an asset.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing presentation materials, including PowerPoint slides and talking points, as well as minute-taking and report drafting.
  • Experience in the use of computers, office software (MS Word, Excel, etc.), databases, and web-based management systems (e.g., ERP or CRM platforms) is required.
  • Knowledge of ticket-based service management systems (e.g., Salesforce/UNALL or equivalent) is an asset.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Studies, Humanities, Communication, or related fields. Candidates with other academic backgrounds may be considered if they demonstrate relevant experience in areas related to volunteerism, partnerships, or community engagement.

Remuneration
• Prestación mensual de sustento de USD 1299. • Estipendio previo a la asignación (pagado en la primera nómina). • Estipendio de final de asignación pagado a la finalización del contrato, siempre que se cumplan las condiciones correspondientes. • Seguro de asistencia médica, dental y hospitalaria, así como seguro de vida y por discapacidad. • Licencia anual que se computa sobre la base de 2,5 días por mes. • Acceso a plataforma de aprendizaje.
