Overview
The Online UN Volunteer will support UNDP’s Open and Inclusive Public Sphere (OIPS) work in Asia and the Pacific through focused mapping and research. The role involves mapping relevant UNDP initiatives and partners related to open and inclusive public spheres, civic engagement, youth participation, and governance in the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct desk-based mapping of relevant UNDP initiatives and partners related to open and inclusive public spheres, civic engagement, youth participation, and governance in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Collect, clean, and organize data using provided templates with basic categorization and tagging.
- Support basic analysis and categorization of mapped data to identify trends and gaps.
- Contribute a short summary report (2-3 pages with relevant visualization) based on mapping findings.
Required Experience
- Background or interest in governance, civic engagement, youth participation, or international development.
- Strong desk research skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and structure data using spreadsheets or similar tools.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and respond to feedback.
