Overview

The Programme Specialist will support the UNODC TIP and SOM team in Tunis with programme development, coordination, and reporting for initiatives in the MENA region.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with liaison and communications, including preparing updates and reports.
  • Support planning, coordination, and delivery of programme activities like workshops and meetings.
  • Assist in preparing and disseminating evaluation/feedback reports.
  • Support project monitoring and evaluation by tracking indicators and documenting lessons learned.
  • Contribute to communication and visibility activities, including drafting media content.
  • Support preparation, organization, and reporting on missions and technical meetings.
  • Assist with translation of relevant documents.
  • Provide general administrative assistance, including drafting minutes and organizing files.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
Required Experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Skills and experience in administrative support, programme coordination, or project assistance.
  • Experience in communication, logistics, or research is considered an asset but not mandatory.
  • Experience in communication and outreach activities is desirable.
  • Experience in managing and implementing project activities is desirable.
  • Experience in organizing national, regional, or international events is desirable.
  • Experience in volunteerism is desirable.
  • Relevant professional experience in research and project management is an asset.
  • Work experience with the United Nations or similar international organizations is desirable.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in law, criminal justice, public administration, international development, political or social science or a related field.

Remuneration
• Volunteer Living Allowance: 2,349.66 TND • Entry lump sum: 350 USD • Relocation costs: 200 USD at the beginning and end of the assignment if the duty station is located outside the commuting area. • Exit allowance (paid upon successful completion of the assignment): 195.81 TND per month served, paid at the end of the contract. • Life, health, and permanent disability insurance is included. • Training: Access to UNDP/UNV learning and career development resources. • Annual leave: 2.5 days per month.
