Overview
The role is to coordinate the innovation strategy through outreach and partnership initiatives, overseeing specialised activities and ensuring the implementation of the Organization's policies and strategic objectives within Strategic Innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing and managing daily and ad-hoc tasks related to Strategic Innovation strategy, outreach efforts, and capability development.
- Supervise and guide team members in executing assigned tasks, including strategy development, external partnership establishment, and monitoring key performance indicators.
- Provide proactive guidance, analytical studies, and research to support senior management decision-making.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for matters related to the Directorate's strategy, particularly in innovation partnerships.
- Perform any other duty as required by the hierarchy.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of policing experience, with a strong background in law enforcement operations and management.
- Proven track record of leadership and strategic decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including their applications and implications for law enforcement.
- Specialized experience in one or more of the following areas: cybercrime, financial crime, counterterrorism, or organized crime.
- Working knowledge of legal issues related to transnational crime investigations.
- Extensive knowledge of current computing and communications technologies.
- Experience hosting international conferences on policing matters.
- Experience in developing strategic partnerships, outreach, and programme development.
Qualifications
- Three to four years of university education or equivalent level of education, with a specialization in a relevant field such as engineering, science, public policy, or law.
- A master's degree, or doctorate would be an asset.
- Experience as a police officer or equivalent level of training in the field of criminal justice is required if the post holder does not possess the required level of education.
