Overview
Supports the ASG and the Climate Action Team by managing scheduling and briefings, coordinating project implementation, and providing research and drafting support for senior leadership. Ensures smooth operations by handling administrative processes, monitoring project progress, and organizing meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direct support to the ASG, including briefing on requests for bilaterals, preparing meeting information, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Manages programme/project implementation assistance at all phases for the Climate Action Team projects, including HR, finance, and tasking flows.
- Researches, compiles, analyses, summarizes, and presents information/data on programmes/projects.
- Prepares update notes for the Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General; drafts inputs for documents, reports, briefings, and correspondence.
- Supports the Director of the Climate Action Team as a focal point for coordination, monitoring, and expedition of implementation activities.
- Monitors implementation at all stages, analyzes difficulties, and initiates remedial action.
- Obtains necessary clearances, processes administrative actions, and resolves project implementation issues.
- Establishes internal databases and manages data and information relevant to programme/project activities.
- Prepares notes, letters, invitations, and other documentation for stakeholders.
- Organizes in-person meetings, including accommodation, DSA processing, and programme setup.
Required Experience
- Seven (7) years of relevant experience are required if holding a secondary school diploma.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience will be considered an asset if holding a first-level university degree.
- One (1) year of relevant experience is desirable if holding an advanced university degree.
- Relevant experience is defined as experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation or related area.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (master's or equivalent) in a field related to the post description.
- First-level university degree (undergraduate, bachelor, or equivalent) in a field related to the post description.
- Secondary school diploma (or high school equivalent).
