Overview

Support Government Partnerships Officers on activities related to their partner portfolio, maintaining and strengthening existing partnerships and expanding new ones to advocate for WFP’s work and mobilize resources.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of a portfolio of partnerships, soliciting contributions, providing donor stewardship, and analyzing results.
  • Maintain relations with donor counterparts and ensure they are informed on strategic and operational issues.
  • Provide grant management support for funding agreements and contracts.
  • Support new contract negotiations and finalization.
  • Draft written communication with donors.
  • Ensure visibility through liaison with the Communication and Advocacy Division.
  • Coordinate engagements with donors and WFP counterparts.
  • Draft briefing materials for senior management prior to donor meetings.
  • Represent WFP at meetings and take notes.
  • Track donors’ interests and identify meeting opportunities.
  • Address ad-hoc donor inquiries.
  • Research donor political, financial, and operational intelligence.
  • Liaise with other divisions/technical units to share donor developments.
  • Provide inputs to Country Strategic Plan, Partnership Action Plan, Operational Task Force, Global Operational Task Force.
  • Review and amend project proposals and donor reporting.
  • Support field interaction with donors.
  • Provide quality inputs in Salesforce.
  • Serve as alternate for other Associate Government Partnership Officers and GPOs.
  • Act as focal point for given thematic or coordination tasks.
Required Experience

Minimum 3 years of proven experience in partnership and aid work in international organizations is an advantage.

Qualifications

Master's Degree or equivalent in International Development, Political Science, International Relations and/or other relevant experience.

Full proficiency in English.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of any other UN language is an asset. Spanish/Portuguese Level C is desirable.
