Overview
This is an Online Volunteering assignment focused on data analytics and impact mapping for a regional programme. The role involves analyzing project and results data to create insightful dashboards for decision-making, learning, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project and results data across the RBAS regional portfolio.
- Map projects to RBAS Regional Programme Outcomes & Outputs and UNDP Strategic Plan Outcomes & Outputs.
- Clean, organize, and structure datasets for analysis.
- Build a dynamic Excel dashboard using pivot tables, charts, and filters.
- Visualize portfolio-level insights such as outcome/output coverage, trends, overlaps, and gaps.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Iterate based on feedback from the Regional Programme Team.
- Create short, clear guidance on how to use and update the dashboard.
Required Experience
- Background in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts, dashboards).
- Analytical mindset—you enjoy working with data and finding patterns.
- Interest in development work, results frameworks, or impact measurement.
- Experience with RBM, M&E, or portfolio analysis is a plus (not required).
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines.
- Clear communicator who cares about data accuracy and storytelling.
