Overview

The Senior Officer, Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting and Information Management will be responsible for performance-based management systems and the overall quality and effectiveness of planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems. This role contributes to improving the impact of Red Cross Red Crescent work, strengthening strategic planning, and promoting accountability and learning.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the annual planning and appeals process.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of monitoring systems, including developing monitoring plans and schedules, and ensuring SMART indicators.
  • Provide technical leadership and management for evaluations, including leading lesson learned sessions and identifying opportunities for participatory evaluation.
  • Support effective communication of monitoring and evaluation information, including collation into reports and quality review of donor and operation reports.
  • Support enhanced PMER capacity within the Delegation and to National Societies through training and guidance.
  • Ensure Information Management support, including creating data visualization outputs and supporting data infrastructure.
  • Facilitate training and dissemination on information management standards, procedures, and tools.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in corporate reporting and planning.
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in an international setting.
  • Experience working in the developing countries.
  • Experience working in the Africa Region.
  • People Management experience.
  • Experience developing, communicating and implementing business plans.
Qualifications
  • University degree, or equivalent, in relevant discipline (International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, etc.) or demonstrated equivalent humanitarian related experience.
  • Relevant post-graduate degree or MBA (or equivalent).
  • Relevant professional training or relevant experience in monitoring, performance-based management, planning or evaluation.
