Overview
This internship position is in the legal team within the Office of Investment Management (OIM). The legal team advises on legal aspects of OIM’s operations and investments in alignment with the legal framework applicable to the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of template agreements and review of existing agreements including agreements for goods and services, agreements with external investment managers and agreements for private market investments
- Ad hoc legal research
- Continued development of a compendium of practice
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in a field of law
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in a field of law
- Have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, Excel and Power Point
