Overview
The Climate-Resilient Education Intern will provide entry-level, learning-focused support to the Global CRE portfolio by assisting with coordination, documentation, knowledge management, and basic research related to climate-resilient education.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and tracking incoming requests related to climate-resilient education work.
- Support scheduling of meetings, briefings, and learning sessions.
- Help maintain shared folders and internal platforms with updated CRE materials and resources.
- Support documentation of activities related to climate-resilient education initiatives.
- Assist with summarizing key discussion points, decisions, and action items from calls or consultations.
- Contribute to technical materials, case examples, and internal reference documents.
- Conduct light desk-based research on climate-resilient education topics, tools, or country examples.
- Support preparation of simple background notes, summaries, or slide inputs for internal use.
- Assist in compiling examples, lessons learned, and emerging questions from country or regional engagement.
- Support internal learning or Community of Practice activities.
- Assist in gathering feedback from internal users on CRE materials or tools.
- Support basic communications related to CRE activities.
- Support basic research and documentation on green skills and climate-relevant skills.
- Assist in compiling and organizing examples of youth-led climate action linked to education, learning, or skills development.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by summarizing good practices, learning points, and emerging themes.
Required Experience
- Have relevant experience in a related field, such as academic research projects, coursework related to education, climate or development, volunteering, internships, or student initiatives.
- Prior professional experience in related fields is an asset
Qualifications
• Be enrolled in or have graduated in the past two years from an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. programme in a relevant field such as education, climate change/environmental studies, international development, social sciences, public policy, sustainability or related disciplines.
