Overview
To bring unique external expertise from a varied multilateral background to produce particular outputs and defined deliverables, including support on complex and strategic engagements, coordinating and supporting the Ethics and Culture Champions Programme, and delivering training on specialized topics of Ethics.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide unique external expertise and specialized knowledge to the Office’s strategy, policies and directions on training, outreach and facilitate coordinating the ECCs.
- Provide strategic input and overall quality control on Annual Report and other key documents.
- Facilitate conversations on “Ethical Leadership,” participate in and support relevant working group/s and assist in the design of staff support and helpdesk mechanisms.
- Facilitate overall preparation and delivery of Ethics Month.
- Support up to 4 strategic, complex engagements for the year with Offices or Divisions on ethics and culture.
- As requested by the Ethics Office, co-deliver or assist in specific training or outreach (virtually and in-person as needed) for offices, locations, teams, divisions, employee groups etc. needing specialized content or with particular training needs, or for specific campaigns (e.g. during Ethics Month) or events.
- Develop communication materials, assets, tools, and guidance, including guidance notes, FAQs, and other communication assets, and reports in relation to training and outreach.
- Review and update the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PSH) training Module including expanding it to cover topics of Harassment and Abuse of Authority.
- Provide support and technical inputs towards the review of the UNICEF Strategy on PSEA and SH.
Required Experience
At least 8 years of professional and relevant experience in raising awareness in ethics and integrity, or education and training, preferably in developing learning materials and conducting virtual and in-person training is required. Understanding and experience working with the UN, UNICEF, international organizations, or with an international audience in different time zones, in the area of raising awareness and capacity building on ethics and integrity or related field, is preferred. Substantive understanding and work experience in ethics, integrity, compliance, or related topics is preferred.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in public health, social work, political science, human rights and international law or other related degree, or equivalent programming experience
