Overview

The Information Systems Officer (Technical Engineer) is responsible for managing projects, analyzing user requirements, developing and maintaining systems, and providing technical support within the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects involving feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development and implementation of new, moderately complex systems.
  • Develop detailed system and other functional specifications and user documentation.
  • Provide specialized advice to users, analyzing users’ requirements and translating these into new applications.
  • Maintain, upgrade or enhance existing user systems; troubleshoot and provide continuing user support.
  • Develop and maintain computer programs that require integration of many interrelated systems and program elements.
  • Organize and perform unit and integrated testing, designing and utilizing test bases.
  • Develop training materials, operating and user manuals; train staff in assigned systems.
  • Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure appropriate planning and training.
  • Research, analyze and evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for their deployment.
  • Participate in writing reports and papers on systems-related topics.
  • Facilitate communications between UNJSPF and its clients for good client relations.
  • Serve as coordinator in the development of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Handle all aspects of contract administration including establishment of service level agreements with vendors and chargeback policy for users.
  • Provide guidance to, and may supervise, new/junior staff, consultants, etc.
Required Experience

A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, design, development, configuration, implementation and maintenance of integrations/cloud application administration or related area is required. At least five (5) years of experience in any of the following architectures and protocols: REST, XML, FTP, WSDL, JSON and SOAP Web Services Programming in Java is required. At least five (5) years experience as a technical engineer supporting a multi-SAAS (Software as a Service) environment is desirable. At least five (5) years of significant work experience with Vitech V3/Velocity, Oracle Fusion Financials, Tungsten Total Agility and/or Service Now is desirable. At least five (5) years experience designing and developing scalable and robust integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform/AWS integration services such as AWS API Gateway, AppFlow, and/or Step Functions or and Oracle Integration Cloud is desirable.

Qualifications

Un diplôme universitaire de deuxième cycle (master ou équivalent) en informatique, en systèmes d'information, en mathématiques, en statistiques ou dans un domaine connexe est requis. Un diplôme universitaire de premier cycle, associé à une expérience professionnelle pertinente, peut être accepté en lieu et place du diplôme de deuxième cycle.
