Overview
Serve as the lead Solution Architect for enterprise integrations, designing end-to-end interface architectures between UNJSPF and member organizations, ensuring alignment with the Fund's target-state architecture and pension administration domain model.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead Solution Architect for enterprise integrations, designing end-to-end interface architectures between UNJSPF and member organizations, ensuring alignment with the Fund's target-state architecture and pension administration domain model.
- Design and oversee implementation of integration patterns across MuleSoft, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and event-driven architectures, including API-led connectivity, canonical data models, and reusable integration assets that scale across member organizations.
- Lead solution design for the integration layer between ERP, ITSM/HRSD/CSM, and the Fund's pension administration platform, ensuring data integrity, security, and auditability across the integrated landscape.
- Provide technical leadership across complex initiatives owning architecture decisions, design authority sign-offs, non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, observability), and integration governance standards.
- Establish and maintain integration standards, API governance, reference architectures, and reusable design patterns; chair or contribute to the architecture review board for enterprise solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to engineers, integration developers, and contract staff; review architectures and code produced by team members and vendors.
- Facilitate communications with member organizations, vendors, and Fund clients; serve as the technical counterpart in inter-agency working groups, SLA negotiations, and integration onboarding.
- Participate in budget planning, vendor evaluation, and technology roadmap development for the integration and platform portfolio.
- Champion the adoption of AI accelerators and agentic tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Oracle/ServiceNow AI agents) across the SDLC to improve quality of the team.
Required Experience
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect in multi-cloud, SaaS-heavy enterprise environments is required. A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations using MuleSoft and/or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including API-led connectivity, canonical models, and integration governance, is required. Demonstrated experience designing integrations with Oracle Cloud (ERP/HCM/Payroll) and ServiceNow in large enterprise or public-sector contexts is required. Experience integrating with pension administration, payroll, or core financial platforms (e.g., Vitech V3, SAP, Workday, or comparable) is desirable. Demonstrated experience applying AI tools and agentic workflows (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, MCP-based agents, or equivalent) to architecture, development, or operations work is desirable.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted, in lieu of the advanced university degree.
