Overview

The Client Engagement Assistant supports the identification, development, and cultivation of partnerships with UN Agencies/Host Entities at the country level. The role focuses on managing partner relationships, gathering data to influence mobilization opportunities, ensuring client satisfaction, and bridging service delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in mobilizing volunteers and developing/maintaining partnerships.
  • Support key account management and relationships with assigned UN partners.
  • Identify volunteer placement opportunities and present UNV value proposition.
  • Prepare descriptions of assignment and develop offers for volunteer solutions.
  • Contribute to advocacy campaigns, events, and external communication efforts.
  • Document and systematize knowledge using UNV's Client Relationship Management (CRM).
  • Act as a focal point for online volunteers and accreditation of OV service organizations.
  • Contribute to business intelligence for strategic mobilization by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Prepare presentations and mapping on volunteerism opportunities.
  • Support the identification of opportunities for communicating volunteer stories and impact.
  • Contribute to the development of key messages, talking points, and reports.
  • Provide support during the volunteer onboarding process.
  • Support UN Volunteers throughout the volunteer management cycle.
  • Respond to volunteer inquiries and escalate concerns.
  • Assist in gathering feedback from volunteers.
  • Support appreciation initiatives and local events for volunteers.
  • Backstop other Field Unit functions during peak periods or absences.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years (with technical or vocational diploma) or 2 additional years (with high school certificate) of practical and relevant experience at national or international level in partnership engagement, advocacy, management, client service or related areas.
  • Previous experience with international or development organizations is considered an asset.
  • Experience in preparing presentation materials, including PowerPoint slides and talking points, as well as minute-taking and report drafting.
  • Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.), database packages, and web-based management systems such as ERP.
  • Knowledge and experience of ticket-based service management systems (e.g., Salesforce/UNALL, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
Qualifications

Technical/vocational diploma in Social Sciences, Political Sciences, International Relations, Development Programmes, or other related areas.

• Current Monthly Living Allowance (MLA) is USD 1,614 (Paid in Turkish Lira) • Entry allowance (one-time payment): USD 350 • Exit allowance (paid on successful completion of assignment): USD 120 per service month • Private insurance by CIGNA
