Overview

This role ensures compliance with DRC’s Code of Conduct Reporting Mechanism (CoCRM) and Safeguarding procedures within Nigeria. It contributes to country strategies and promotes a culture of code of conduct through capacity building, investigation, and coordination.


Key Responsibilities
  • Setting and managing complaint tracks, receiving and registering complaints, and advising reporting persons on procedures.
  • Conducting internal investigations, producing investigation reports, and monitoring investigations.
  • Representing DRC in relevant working groups and inter-agency networks.
  • Supporting investigators by mapping services, approaching Survivors, and referring them to appropriate providers.
  • Collaborating with programme and MEAL teams to ensure accountability and identify mitigation measures for SEAH risks.
  • Advising management on safeguarding and accountability requirements for implementing partners.
  • Planning and delivering PSEAH trainings and CoCRM awareness sessions.
  • Working with the Risk and Compliance Specialist to update compliance and accountability improvement plans.
  • Supporting and evaluating areas of compliance risk and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensuring DRC policies and procedures are communicated and implemented.
Required Experience
  • At least three (3) years of directly related experience in safeguarding and Code of Conduct operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with safeguarding and code of conduct operations or similar, influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders effectively across the organization and within complex contexts.
  • Demonstrate experience with conducting and/or monitoring internal investigations, including Fraud investigations.
  • Demonstrate experience with developing and delivering successful training sessions, facilitating meetings.
  • Demonstrated experience with Safeguarding and PSEA standards, including an ability to apply a survivor-centered approach in relating with survivors of Sexual Harassment (SH) and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and in handling SEA and SH allegations.
Qualifications

• Master's degree in relevant area.
