Overview
Provide comprehensive IT services and technical support for the preparatory work for the hosting of the First International Conference of the GFC in November 2026, including on-site technical preparations, video streaming, IT setup, and network testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the technical preparation and on-site support for the First International Conference in November 2026.
- Prepare and pack equipment prior to the event.
- Liaise with venue IT and audio technicians and handle technical configuration and testing.
- Set up video streaming and IT services, including printers, and test network and Wi-Fi services.
- Provide technical assistance on Indico registration system and liaise with UNOG.
- Cover initial setup and testing of badge printing.
- Provide technical assistance to the team in charge of side events preparation, including hybrid setup and testing on site.
- Support with the preparation and setup of delegate badges for plenary sessions.
- Install, provide technical support, and troubleshoot for the registration desk.
- Facilitate IT and technical installation for GFC staff and provide support throughout the event.
Required Experience
At least seven years of experience in the technological support for international meetings, specifically through the provision of a specially designed intranet system, are required.
Qualifications
A University degree in information technology, computing, communications or other relevant field with a corresponding suitable proven professional experience is required. A secondary school diploma in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of university degree.
