Overview
This assignment seeks Online Volunteers to amplify the Inclusive Africa Conference 2026 by promoting awareness via social media, using provided toolkits, and creating original content. The goal is to advance disability inclusion through digital accessibility, AI, and inclusive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Share or repost at least 10 campaign posts on personal or organizational platforms during the campaign.
- Follow UNDP Kenya and inABLE on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram.
- Share campaign materials (infographics, videos, leaflets) at least three times daily.
- Produce one original social media post per week (approx. 12 posts in total).
- Use information supplied by UNDP Kenya and inABLE, while guiding the team on tailoring video and other content to align with the campaign’s digital communication policy and reflect on-the-ground activities.
- Submit weekly engagement metrics, including number of posts shared, estimated reach (views/impressions), and audience feedback.
- Participate in one virtual orientation session and a mid-campaign feedback session.
- Work online with the ability to communicate effectively and guide the team on specific support needed to generate regular weekly content.
Required Experience
- Active Social Media Presence: Volunteers should be regular users of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or X (Twitter).
- Creativity & Content Development: Volunteers should be able to think creatively, design engaging content, plan campaigns, and analyze the effectiveness of social media efforts.
- Strong Networks: Having a wide reach or strong follower base within Africa and in their respective countries or regions is highly desirable.
- Passion for Inclusion: An interest in disability inclusion, disability rights, digital accessibility, AI, and inclusive innovation advocacy will be considered an asset.
- Collaboration & Guidance: Volunteers must be open to receiving guidance, participating in virtual sessions, and working collaboratively with both the online team and the on ground organizers to ensure coherent messaging.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication in the context of human rights and social media activism is an advantage.
- Teamwork & Coherence: Because consistent messaging is essential, volunteers are expected to actively coordinate with one another and with the organizing team.
