Overview

Consultant to provide substantive global follow-up to the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) by supporting analytical, research, drafting, and coordination efforts.


Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake research related to enablers of illicit financial flows and prepare reports.
  • Prepare summaries of background research and draft sections of Secretary-General’s reports.
  • Draft chapters for the 2027 Financing for Sustainable Development Report (FSDR).
  • Prepare background materials and summaries for the 2027 ECOSOC Special Meeting on Financial Integrity.
  • Provide monthly progress reports.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of sustainable development and/or financing for development, including financing policy and analysis.
  • Previous work experiences at the United Nations or another international organization in particular engaging with experts and/or member states, and preparing background documents for their consideration is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in development studies, international relations, economics, finance, political science, law or related field is required.
  • Detailed knowledge of policy issues around illicit financial flows, financial integrity and public finance is required.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Knowledge of another UN official language is desirable. • Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
