Overview
Consultant to provide substantive global follow-up to the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) by supporting analytical, research, drafting, and coordination efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake research related to enablers of illicit financial flows and prepare reports.
- Prepare summaries of background research and draft sections of Secretary-General’s reports.
- Draft chapters for the 2027 Financing for Sustainable Development Report (FSDR).
- Prepare background materials and summaries for the 2027 ECOSOC Special Meeting on Financial Integrity.
- Provide monthly progress reports.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of sustainable development and/or financing for development, including financing policy and analysis.
- Previous work experiences at the United Nations or another international organization in particular engaging with experts and/or member states, and preparing background documents for their consideration is desirable.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in development studies, international relations, economics, finance, political science, law or related field is required.
- Detailed knowledge of policy issues around illicit financial flows, financial integrity and public finance is required.
