Overview

The climate change expert will contribute to the preparation of concept notes, analytical reports, meeting documentation, presentations, databases and online platforms that support evidence-based policymaking on climate change.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contributing programmatically and substantively to the preparation of meetings by drafting and finalizing meeting notes, country fact sheets, presentations and reports.
  • Consult and coordinate with internal counterparts and external partners on the organization, population and posting of online platforms and e-training tools.
  • Support the finalization of a guidance document and associated annex on climate/green finance taxonomies.
  • Consolidate and support the mapping of NDC 3.0 submissions by Arab States.
  • Contribute to meetings and discussions related to the aforementioned activities, and provide other ad hoc support on climate change.
Required Experience

A minimum of five years of experience working on climate change, natural resources management, environment or related fields is required. Demonstrated professional experience working on climate change and sand and dust storms in the Arab region is required.

Qualifications

A master’s degree in climate change, engineering or environmental science is required.
