Overview
The ICT Senior Officer will support UNOPS projects for the United Nations Secretariat, focusing on ICT support, knowledge management, and coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor ICT service availability, performance, and capacity, and assist in tracking SLAs, OLAs, and KPIs.
- Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure.
- Monitor backup systems and disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor compliance with ICT security policies and standards.
- Assist in coordination and tracking of ICT projects and initiatives.
- Facilitate communication of system status, outages, and planned maintenance.
- Assist in the coordination of operational activities with vendors and service providers.
- Act as a focal point for coordinating ICT operational matters with users and technical teams.
- Help support day-to-day ICT operations to ensure continuity of services.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Provide support in coordination of development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Serve as a liaison between ICT teams, business units, and external partners.
- Facilitate service management meetings, service review meetings, and reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Relevant experience in development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Very good knowledge of service delivery management for mission-critical applications.
- Experience in designing and implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions for complex systems.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent preferably in information systems or computer science or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
- OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably in information systems or computer science or a related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
