Overview
The ICT Specialist - ICT Infrastructure will perform job functions related to technology management, knowledge management, and coordination for ICT infrastructure projects under the supervision of the UNOPS Programme Manager and ICT Senior Advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of ICT infrastructure (compute, storage, network, virtualization, and cloud platforms).
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and high availability of systems.
- Oversee configuration management and maintain accurate system documentation.
- Coordinate implementation of cybersecurity controls and compliance with organizational standards.
- Coordinate development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Lead or coordinate ICT projects, including infrastructure deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
- Coordinate ICT service delivery in line with agreed SLAs, SDAs, and KPIs.
- Oversee incident, problems, and change management processes.
- Assist in preparing and managing budgeting activities and monitoring expenditures.
- Support procurement planning and vendor selection initiatives.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
Required Experience
Relevant experience is defined as experience in planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning systems including service delivery management for mission-critical applications and designing and implementing High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions for complex systems.
Qualifications
Required: Master’s degree or equivalent preferably in information systems or computer science or a related electro-communications field with 5 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably in information systems or computer science or a related electro-communications field with 7 years of relevant experience. Desired: Certification in ITIL Foundation is desirable.
