Overview
The Associate PPH Officer will develop and strengthen long-term partnerships with companies, foundations, and private philanthropists to secure funding for UNHCR programmes and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- - Support engagement with a portfolio of PPH donors and activities for acquisition and strengthening of partnerships.
- - Support preparation of pitches, presentations, proposals, and fundraising materials.
- - Support management of partnerships and relationships, including drafting donor reports.
- - Undertake market research to inform PPH initiatives.
- - Support engagement with donors at high-profile events.
- - Support organization of internal meetings and skill-shares.
- - Support drafting of PPH section of PSP Annual Plans and Budgets, and Quarterly Reports.
- - Support PPH colleagues with procurement, admin, and travel matters.
- - Support maintenance of accurate records of partnerships and relationships.
- - Contribute to development and updating of content on PSP's SharePoint platform.
- - Contribute to information management and knowledge-sharing.
- - Support delivery of communications and visibility plans with PPH donors.
- - Support development of relationships with philanthropists, major donors, HNWIs and ultra HNWIs.
- - Support delivery of high-quality presentations, proposals and reports for major donor audiences.
- - Support organization of high-level events tailored for philanthropists, major donors, and (U)HNWIs.
- - Analyse relevant data to identify and cultivate donors.
- - Work with Individual Giving colleagues on initiatives, plans and messaging for major donors.
- - Support development and implementation of initiatives to engage with foundations.
- - Support preparation and submission of foundations grants.
- - Support logistics and planning of events for foundation and philanthropic networks.
- - Support implementation of initiatives to acquire and strengthen partnerships with corporations and corporate foundations.
- - Support management of corporate partnerships and implementation of cultivation and stewardship plans.
- - Support preparation of pitches, presentations and reports for corporate partners.
- - Support identification and management of risks and opportunities.
- - Perform other related duties as required.
Required Experience
- 3 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or 2 years relevant experience with Graduate degree; or 1 year relevant experience with Doctorate degree.
- Relevant professional experience in fundraising and/or partnerships and/or management of relationships with donors and/or external partners, with exposure to an international environment and/or with humanitarian organizations.
- Ability to produce high-quality written materials tailored to specific audiences.
- Ability to balance different and sometimes competing needs and deadlines.
- Experience in coordinating between multiple stakeholders, with an ability to multi-task, manage time, and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of humanitarian and/or development programming (Desirable).
- Knowledge of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce (Desirable).
- Knowledge of SharePoint 365 platform (Desirable).
- Experience in marketing and/or communications (Desirable).
- Experience in a UN field location and/or working in a developing country, with an ability to function well in a multi-cultural environment (Desirable).
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree; or Graduate degree; or Doctorate degree.
- Field(s) of Education: Marketing, Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Economics, Business Administration/Management, Social Sciences or other relevant field.
- Certificates and/or Licenses: Fundraising (essential).
