Overview
The Shelter and Settlement Assistant will provide comprehensive support and contribute to all activities related to the implementation of rehabilitation projects under the supervision of the Shelter and Settlement Team Leader and/or Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in needs assessments, non-technical household damage assessments, and data collection.
- Communicate with beneficiaries, community representatives, and local authorities.
- Organize and support field visits, meetings, and participatory activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry, updating, and maintenance in internal systems.
- Prepare, maintain, and archive project documentation.
- Participate in monitoring visits, final inspections, feedback collection, and support project closure.
- Provide support in the implementation of assistance programs.
- Ensure compliance with data protection standards, internal procedures, Code of Conduct, and safety regulations.
Required Experience
At least 1 year of experience in the social sector; experience working with humanitarian organizations will be considered an advantage. Experience interacting with aid recipients, local authorities, or participating in humanitarian projects is desirable.
