Passive Cooling Consultant

Overview

The consultant will support the Mitigation Branch and UNEP India Office in accelerating passive cooling solutions in India, providing design assistance to real estate developers for heat adaptation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Mitigation Branch and UNEP India Office in accelerating passive cooling in India.
• Support government of India, state governments, public sector undertakings, cities, private players, academia and industry to accelerate uptake of passive cooling.
• Recommend passive cooling solutions in projects of #2 real estate developers and support in implementation.
• Provide expertise in design assistance to real estate developers in integration of passive cooling solutions to ensure heat adaptation.

Required Experience

A minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field of work, preferably with focus on providing design assistance to real estate developers in designing and constructing sustainable and energy efficiency buildings. Experience in building energy analysis, cost benefit analysis and engaging with building developers and real estate associations to advocate energy efficiency or heat adaptation is essential.
